AJK PM flies to LoC to boost people’s morale

MIRPUR (AJK)-AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan yesterday visited various forward areas along the Line of Control (LoC) including Samahni, Chamb, Barnala and Nikyal sectors in Mirpur and Abbaspur area to express solidarity with the affectees of Indian firing.
During the visit, he was briefed about the problems faced by the local people due to unprovoked Indian firing.
Speaking on the occasion, the AJK Prime Minister said the people of Kashmir are ready to sacrifice their lives in case of any aggression by the enemy.
Raja Farooq Haider said people of Azad Kashmir stand with Pakistani armed forces. Rejected Indian claims of surgical strikes across the LoC, he said that earlier India had also orchestrated drama of Uri attack to malign Pakistan. Senior Minister Ch Tariq Farooq, Raja Maqsood Khan, Raja Razzaq Khan, Raja Ali Shan and Raja Ejaz Khan also addressed the residents.
Earlier, when the AJK PM arrived at Samahni, PML-N leader Raja Maqsood Khan and Raja Munir Ullah Khan welcomed him. It is for the first time in the history of Tehsil Samahni that any AJK Prime Minister ever visited Samahni.
PM Haider also addressed the members of village defence committees and affectees of Indian firing on LoC, saying that “we are fully alert with our brave army to defend the motherland.”
At Chamb Iftikharabad, Minister for Information Mushtaq Minhas, member AJK Legislative Assembly Col (r) Waqar Ahmed Noor and Mirza Zafar Hussain Advocate also addressed the gathering while senior minister Ch Tariq Farooq, Raja Maqsood Khan and others were present on the occasion.
At Fetepur Thekyala, Minister for Revenue Sardar Farooq Skindar and former minister and member Kashmir Council Sardar Naeem Khan received the Prime Minister at helipad.
While addressing the gathering the PM expressed solidarity with the people affected by Indian cross LoC firing.
He promised that the AJK government would resolve all issues of the local population living along the LoC.
The Minister for Revenue said that India could not demoralise the civil population through such cowardice acts.
The prime minister also called on “Salar-e-Jamuriat” Sardar Skandir Hayat Khan at his residence.
At Abbaspur, while addressing a gathering, the AJK PM appealed to the UNO and other peace-loving countries to take serious notice of Indian aggression at LoC. He strongly condemned the unprovoked Indian shelling, urging the UN to ensure safety of civilian population along LoC. He said that armed forces of the country are capable enough to give befitting response the enemy for any misadventure.
The AJK information minister said that India is misleading its nation and has no capacity to run surgical strike in AJK.
Member AJK LA Yasin Gulshan, Abdul Maman, Zafar Kiani, Shafiq Inqlabi and others also addressed the gathering.
