Khyber Pakhtunkhwa outclass Northern in last group stage match

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa defeated Northern in the last group stage match of the National T20 Cup here at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore on Monday.

While chasing the target of 208 runs, all Northern players were all out at 115. Rohail Nazir remained the top scorer with 35 runs while most of the players could not enter in double-figure.

For KP,  Asif Afridi, Khalid Usman, and Imran Khan Sr claimed bagged two wickets each, restricting the opponents to 115.

Sent into bat first, KP's Kamran Ghulam helped his side and post a big target of 208 runs on the scorecard for Northern.

Openers Sahibzada Farhan (18) and Israrullah (0) could not provide a strong opening stand but Kamran Ghulam displayed a thrilling game and scored unbeaten 110 off 64.

Iftikhar Ahmed also played a lead role in posting a tough target for the rival team as he made unbeaten 54 off 26. 

Meanwhile, Northern's Aqib Liquat took two wickets while Athar Mahmood sent one player back to the pavilion.

Kamran Ghulam emerged as player of the match.
