LAHORE (PPI) - The 61st death anniversary of the father of nation the Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was observed with national zeal and fervour throughout the country including Lahore and in this connection, Quran Khawani was held under the aegis of Nazria Pakistan Trust here Friday. The huge gathering of workers of Tehreek-a-Pakistan, civil society members and children on this occasion recited the holy Quran and offered 'fateha for soul of the founder of Pakistan. The Chairman Nazria Pakistan Trust Majid Nizami, Chairman Workers Trust Jamshed Ahmad Khan, Brig (r) Ahmad Saeed Kirmani, Brig Mirza Muhammad Aslam, Brig (r) Zafar Iqbal Chaudhry, Justice (r) Mian Allah Nawaz, Col (r) Amjad Hussain, Maulana Shad Elahi, Prof, Dr Perveen and many other workers of Nazria Pakistan participated in the ceremony. Addressing the ceremony, Chairman Nazria Pakistan Trust Majid Nizami and other speakers paid rich tributes to the Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah over his unrest struggle to establish a separate country for the Muslims of the sub-continent. The speakers said that the creation of Pakistan was not possible without the far-reaching mental capability of the Quaid-e-Azam. They said that the Quaid-e-Azam brought the Muslims under the umbrella of Muslim League for getting an independent Muslim country, clarifying to the British rulers that Hindus and Muslims could not live together in one country. They said the Quaid-e-Azam also proved to the world that Muslim League was the only representative party of the Muslims. The special prayers were offered for the survival and prosperity of Pakistan on closing of the ceremony.
