LAHORE - A CDGL inspection team booked four shopkeepers for selling substandard commodities at Sunday Bazaars yesterday.

The city district government team, headed by District Officer Monitoring Amin Akbar, inspected seven bazaars and got FIRs registered against four shopkeepers for selling substandard fruit and vegetables.

Out of 37 vegetables being sold at CDGL Sunday Bazaars, prices of eight vegetables decreased as compared to the last week. Prices of 15 vegetables increased and rates of 13 remained the same.

Similarly, out of 37 fruits, prices of two decreased. Rates of 13 fruits increased and those of 22 remained the same.

Lahore DCO Muhammad Usman has directed the officials to continue monitoring for ensuring provision of quality commodities to the people at affordable price.
