Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid has appealed to the doctors’ community to donate maximum amount in Dam Fund.

In a statement issued here on Wednesday, Dr Yasmin Rashid said that the donation of Rs 3 million from Nishter Medical University, Multan was a precedent for other medical institutions.

She said, “I am really grateful and admire the initiative taken by Multan Nishter Medical University Vice Chancellor Dr Mustafa Kamal.” “Fund raising drive will become movement and people belonging to all walks of life shall participate in Dam Fund,” she hoped.

While appreciating initiative by Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief Justice of Pakistan, the provincial health minister also appealed to the overseas Pakistanis to contribute in Dam Fund.

Dr Yasmin Rashid also noted that every Pakistani wholeheartedly wants to prevent the expected water crisis. “Medical education institutes should lead the fund raising drive,” she said.
