Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the government and the people of Pakistan firmly stand behind their armed forces and intelligence agencies, and greatly acknowledge the unprecedented achievements of these institutions.
The PM said, “ISI is our first line of defence and stands out as the best intelligence agency of the world.”
According to ISPR, the PM visited Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) headquarters on Wednesday. Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa and ISI DG Lieutenant General Naveed Mukhtar received Prime Minister on arrival.
PM Imran Khan laid floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada and offered Fateha. He was given an in details briefing on various strategic intelligence and national security matters at the premier agency.
Imran Khan lauded contributions of ISI towards national security especially in the ongoing counter-terrorism effort. Lead cabinet ministers also accompanied the PM.
