Pakistan football team’s fairytale run in SAFF Championship came to an end as the greens lost to India in the semi-final of the cup.
The Pakistan team failed to qualify for the final after being beaten 1-3 by the defending champions India at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Wednesday.
The first-half of the semi-final remained goalless. But, India emerged victorious by the end of the second-half as they scored by three goals. Manvir Singh bagged a brace to give India 2-0 lead against Pakistan in the second half and Sumeet Passi came on as a sub to score the third goal for India.
However Hassan, who looked dangerous all evening, finally converted to give Pakistan their first and the last goal in the semi-final.
