Sindh IGP urges force to ensure ‘friendly’ atmosphere

The newly-appointed Sindh Inspector General Police (IGP) Dr Syed Kaleem Imam on Wednesday assumed charge as the Sindh IGP.

Dr Syed Kaleem Imam later addressed the senior police officers, including DIG establishment, DIG Karachi administration, DIG finance, AIGs of establishment, welfare, operations and others.

The Sindh IGP has said that the professional duties will be performed in accordance with the rules and regulations. He was of the view that for enhancing the performance of the Police, it is necessary that a people-friendly atmosphere is fostered at every level.

He said that the police department’s smooth running depends on its team work and all problems and issues would be resolved with honesty in consultation with the officers.

IGP Imam said that he would always be available for support and guidance and all officers should deal with citizens and with their staff sympathetically. All arrangements should be made to boost the morale of police force so that it showed efficiency in the field, he added.
