KARACHI (APP) - On a report made by Principal & Chairman, Academic Council Sindh Medical College, Karachi, the Chairman, Enquiries and Anti-Corruption Establishment, Sindh, Karachi has ordered a thorough probe into the matter. It has been alleged that during checking of Class 1st year MBBS 1st Semester, the Principal and Chairman Academic Council Sindh Medical College Karachi found that two students Miss Nazia Perveen and Sonia Seher attending classes without legal admission in the College. Miss Nazia Perveen was in possession of fake ID card of the College and on further investigations, she also presented fake admission letter and fake fees voucher of Dow University of Health Science. Enquiries by Anti-Corruption Establishment revealed that during routine checking, students namely Nazia Parveen D/o Ghous Bux Khand and Miss Sonia Seher D/o Shamshad Ali were attending classes without legal admission at Sindh Medical College, Karachi. On questioning, Nazia Parveen produced admission letter bearing No. GR004160 SMC dated 11.02.2009 and voucher amounting to Rs.38,800/- both issued from Dow University of Health & Science and the said amount was paid at D.U.H.S.(H.B.L. Branch), Baba-e-Urdu Road, Karachi and also presented fake ID card of the College. Whereas Sonia Seher failed to produce any documents in her support. On verification of the documents produced by Nazia Parveen, it was found that the same has not been issued by the College nor by Dow University of Health Science and the same were bogus. Enquiries transpired that the said documents were totally different and do not tally with the record because ID cards were yet to be issued to new students of 1st Year. Miss Nazia Parveen D/o Ghous Bux Khand disclosed in her statement that she belonged to Naseerabad, District Qambar, and her fathers name is Ghous Bux and presently residing at House No.1221, Phase-I, Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Karachi, alongwith her brother-in-law namely Muhammad Alam. She admitted that she did not appear in entry test but she succeeded to get this admission in Sindh Medical College Karachi through her brother-in-law after preparation of admission letter, challan paid voucher of Rs.38,800/- and ID card of SMC. Thereafter, she attended 1st Year MBBS Class for about 15 days. ACE enquiries further revealed that Miss Nazias brother-in-law had got her admission in SMC Karachi through his friend Abdul Haque Narejo R/o Hussainabad Chowk, Hyderabad by the involvement of Mr. Shahid Raza an employee of Dow University, who was paid Rs.40,000/- for the admission of Miss Nazia Parveen. As for Miss Sonia Seher D/o Shamshad Ali, ACE sleuths found out that she was just attending the lecture.
