ISLAMABAD Defending champions PAF, Wapda, Police and Navy qualified for the quarter-final of the ongoing 45th National Mens Volleyball Championship 2010. In the first match, defending champion PAF outclassed Pakistan Education Board (PEB) 3-0. PAF top spikers played the major share in the first set of the match to win the game by 25-12. However, in the second and third set of the match, PAF changed their strategy with acceleration in speed and used different quick combinations to leave the opponents helpless in block and defense to win the sets respectively 25-8 and 25-9. Police thrashed FATA in the straight set 3-0 to gain full points consecutively. The score-line was 25-11, 25-8 and 25-13. In the third match, Wapda outplayed Sindh in straight sets with the score-line of 25-10, 25-15 and 25-10. Navy beat AJK in the last match of the day. The score-line was 25-18, 25-11 and 25-14.
