LAHORE - The Lahore Waste Management Company will look after Murree for a month. Headed by General Manager Operations Khalid Majeed, a team comprising of four assistant managers and 150 sanitary workers along with Turkish vehicles are already there for this purpose. Moreover, a massive awareness campaign on cleanliness will also be organized in Murree involving local community and students of educational institutions. The objective of provision of administrative and technical help to Rawalpindi Waste Management Company is to improve sanitation and promote tourism.

Secretary Health Punjab Dr. Ijaz Munir presided over a meeting of principals of all public sector medical colleges at Civil Secretariat here on Saturday. Besides, Vice Chancellor King Edward Medical University, all the principals of government medical colleges attended the meeting. During the meeting matters regarding the promotion of quality medical education and the administrative issues of teaching hospitals came under discussion. On this occasion, Secretary Health said that promotion of medical education and provision of best treatment facilities to the people is the top priority of the government, for this purpose all the stakeholders have to work as a team. He said that he would continue consultation with the senior medical educationists and medical experts and their recommendations and proposals would also be considered.
