HAFIZABAD - Education is ‘sine qua non’ for the development and progress of the country, declared DCO Muhammad Usman.

While presiding over the 18th annual prize distribution ceremony of District Public School Hafizabad, he appreciated the DPS for its endeavour to eliminate ignorance from the district. He said that the institution was one of the best educational institutes in the district and assured that DPS branches would also start functioning in Pindi Bhattian and Jalalpur Bhattian shortly so that students of remote areas could also be benefited of standard education.  Later, he distributed shields and certificates among students who showed distinction in the examinations and co-curricular activities.

Earlier, Principal Tasadduq Hussain enumerated achievements of DPS in different fields.

YOUNG CALLIGRAPHIST: Muhammad Ashraf Heera, a young calligraphist of Hafizabad was adjudged second in the International calligraphy festival held in Cairo (Egypt) last month. The competition was attended by calligraphists of 81 countries of the world. Culture Minster of Egypt Dr. Abdul Wahad Al-Nabvi distributed the prizes among the winners.
