The police have arrested four members of Hindu community for their alleged involvement in the kidnapping and gang-rape of a 17-year-old Muslim girl in Behta Colony in Chak-101 here.

According to Yazman City Police SHO Muhammad Mairaj, the suspects kidnapped the girl from outside her house and took her to a desolate place where they gang-rape her. Later, they fled away, leaving the girl in critical condition,” he added.

The police shifted the girl to a local hospital for a medical report before taking a hand on the alleged rapists.

On the basis of the statement of the victim and medical report, the police started investigation and traced the suspects, who were hiding at a remote location.

The suspects were identified as Mukesh Ram, Tara Ram, Kelash Ram and Radha Ram while their accomplice was still at large. The SHO said that the police were conducting raids for the arrest of the runaway rapist.
