PFA polls process being rigged, claims Niazi

LAHORE - Liberation of Football Group has alleged Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) of rigging the process of Punjab Football Association (PFA) election scheduled to be held on April 17.
The group's presidential candidate Ali Haider Noor Khan Niazi said this in media briefing here at Lahore Press Club Sunday. Niazi said the PFA election scrutiny committee had not only rejected his lawful eligibility documents for the presidential candidature in sheer violation of the relevant rules but also intimated him through an e-mail on April 12 at 12:20am instead of the scheduled time of 6pm on April 11.
He said that he appealed to the election appellant committee to look into matter, adding that the group would fight for its legitimate right to the last and would actively participate in the PFA election. He also claimed to have mustered support of 26 out of the total 36 voters.
