Jackman’s love for wife gets deeper

LOS ANGELES - Hugh Jackman’s love for his wife ‘’only gets deeper’’. The ‘Greatest Showman’ actor and 62-year-old Deborra-lee Furness met on the set of 1995 Australian TV show ‘Correlli’, and married the following year, with their relationship still going strong 22 years later.

Sharing a touching message to mark their wedding anniversary on Wednesday, Hugh wrote on Instagram: ‘’I believe in life we need to see and truly be seen by the most important people in our lives.

‘’Deb, from day one, we had that. 22 years later ... it only gets deeper. You and the kids are the greatest gift I will ever receive. I love you a gazillion times around the world.’’

Hugh, 49, and Deborra - who have son Oscar, 17, and daughter Ava, 12, together - are still very much in love, but famous friend Ryan Gosling couldn’t resist a cheeky jibe as he commented on the post.

He cheekily responded: ‘’I gave this 3 months. Tops. I was wrong.’’

Meanwhile, the ‘Les Miserables’ star has previously said he owes his career to his partner and always has a special way of thanking her for his success when he accepts an award for his work.

He said: ‘’Every time I go out on stage, if I go to an awards ceremony, or if I present the Oscars, I put my hand on my heart and I look for her in the crowd. ‘’That’s my way of thanking her because for me, that’s what really matters.’’

He also added his wife has always had bigger dreams for his career than he did and never gave up on her belief he’d be a success. He said: ‘’It would have been impossible without her. She always believed in me, knew I’d make it and I thought she was crazy, that she was merely in love and she was wrong. ‘’From the beginning she said, ‘I know where you’re going.’ There is a power in dreams. I’ve worked hard but, somehow, the one who did all the dreaming was her.’’
