LAHORE The Pakistan Railways Sports Board (PRSB) will celebrate the 63rd Independence Day of Pakistan on August 14 with simplicity to express solidarity with the flood-stricken people in the country. During general council meet, President PRSB Muhammad Junaid Qureshi had issued directives to all the divisions deployed across the country to celebrate the day with simplicity. The meet at Garhi Shahues Railway Stadium, saw presence of other officials of PRSB like VP Saeed Iqbal Khan, Secretary General Rana Abrar Anwar, Sports Officer Rashad Mahmood Butt, Akram Awan, Najam Ul Saeed, Manzoor Ali Arif and all other members of the general body. Junaid said that prayers would be woken up at Fajr for the rehabilitation of the flood-hit people. Message of PRSB chief would be read after flag-hoisting ceremonies of 63rd Independence Day at Railway Stadium whose chief guest will be Saeed Iqbal. Meanwhile, in Independence Day Sports, President XI beat Vice President XI in Basketball match by 32-30 while in Tug of War tie. Secretary XI overpowered Sports Officer XI by 2-1. Junior weightlifting also became the part of sports meets.
