MALAKAND - As many as 18 people were severely injured when a speedy coach fell into a deep ravine here at Malakand Pass on Friday. All the injured were shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Dargai. The condition of three of the injured was stated to be critical. The injured persons included Khaist Bibi, daughter of Muhibullah, resident of Mardan, Bashir, son of Khan of Dargai, Shaheda, wife of Hedayatullah, resident of Mardan, Fareed, son of Jan Dastagir, resident of Dir, Gul Haleem, son of Hazrat, resident of Swabi, Najmuddin, son of Aqil Said, resident of Dir, Shah Jehan, son of Muhammad Hakim, resident of Bajuar, Hazrat Ali, son of Fazal Rabi, resident of Dir, Amjad Ali, son of Abdul Aziz, resident of Dir, Asila Bibi, wife of Ashoor, resident of Dir, Erfanullah, Munsif Jan, Noor Zeb, Aalamzeb, Basmina and Kausar Bibi. Malakand Levies and local people took part in the rescue operation and shifted the injured to THQ Hospital at Dargai whered doctors, paramedical staff and workers of international medical organisation - MSF - provided treatment to them. The coach driver named Munir, resident of Takhta Bai, Mardan, also got injured, however he ran away from the scene. Malakand Levies took the coach into custody and started investigation.
