OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE The menace of dengue fever continued to haunt people across the province especially in the City with more and more suspected patients approaching public and private health facilities. So for 68 persons have been tested positive for dengue and out of these 52 are from Lahore. On Friday, three persons were tested positive for dengue virus and all were from Lahore. Zulfiqar Ahmed, a resident of Shalimar Link Road, Muhammad Jawad, resident of Ichra and Sumera d/o Muhammad Shafiq, a resident of Chungi Amar Sadhu have been tested positive for dengue and are under treatment at different healthcare facilities. According to a report of Epidemic Control Wing of Health Department, only 14 patients are under treatment at different hospitals while 50 have been discharged after complete recovery. Five patients are under treatment at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, four each at Mayo and Services Hospital while one patient is getting treatment at Shalimar Trust Hospital. A spokesman of Health Department Punjab has said that all diagnostic and treatment facilities were available at government hospitals free of cost. He claimed that platelet kits were also available in sufficient quantity.
