HAFIZABAD - Dacoits killed one man and snatched cash, a motorbike and cell phones worth over Rs200,000 in three different strikes on Thursday. According to police, unidentified dacoits stormed the Haveli of Saifullah, son of Qaim, in village Sakhi to lift his cattle Thursday morning. But he woke up and offered resistance. Thereupon, the bandits opened indiscriminate fire on him, killing him on the spot. Three days ago, the armed bandits also raided the Haveli of Nazir in the same village and when he woke up and offered rsistance, the bandits not only killed him but also lifted away his cattle worth million of rupees. According to another report, two armed masked bandits raided the CNG Station owned by former MNA Ch Mehdi Hassan Bhatti in Sukheke Mandi. They snatched away cash of Rs27,000 from casher Shahzad at gunpoint. Meanwhile, a wagon stopped at the filling station to get CNG but the same bandits also snatched away Rs.4000 and a cell phone from the driver. According to another report, Abid Hussain of Thatha Masta along with his wife was on way to his village on his bike when four armed dacoits intercepted him on Sukheke Road near Khatrani Morr. They snatched away his brand new bike, three tola gold ornaments and a cell phone. The police have registered cases. He visited a Iftar Dasterkhawn here the other evening. The Iftar Dasterkhawn is being arranged by the Anjuman Nowjawanan-i- Hafizabad. Anjuman founder Abdul Jabbar Raza told the DCO that a Uganda-based philanthropist Rasheed Zargar was sponsoring the Iftar dinner for the poor. The DCO appreciated the noble gesture.
