Pagara favours commissionerate system in Sindh

KARACHI - Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) Chief Pir Pagara asserted on Friday that he was in favour of implementation of the commissionerate system in Sindh, saying that his party would favour the system for Sindh in the provincial assembly. Talking to a delegation of the Awami National Party (ANP), led by party's Sindh president Shahi Syed, at his residence, the PML-F chief said that the district system would be the most detrimental to Mohajirs. He said that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement's coordination committee would call on him soon to discuss the situation after restoration of the local government system in Sindh. He said he would advise the MQM's delegation to save themselves and all from the bloodbath that could result from the issue of restoration of the local government system in Sindh. Pagara said he was waiting for a phone call from MQM chief Altaf Hussain as he (Altaf) used to contact him to discuss important matters. "Pushtoons are all over Sindh and Karachi. There will be genocide across the province and Mohajirs would be at the losing end," Pagara asserted ANP leader Shahi Syed said that Pushtoons were guest in the province and came to Karachi to fulfil their financial needs. He alleged that target killers were hatching conspiracies to occupy land and properties of Pakhtuns by killing them.
