President Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday said that Pakistan wanted to build a long-term, sustainable and multidimensional relationship with the United States that was marked by mutual understanding of each others interest, mutual trust and respect. He said that a stable, long-term and multifaceted relationship of the two countries was not only in their mutual interests but it would also serve the purpose of stability for region. The President was talking to US Senator John McCain, former presidential candidate and Republican Senator from Arizona, who called on him here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on Saturday. He was accompanied by US Ambassador in Islamabad, Cameron P.Munter, Christine Brose, Vance Serchuk and Ms. Maggie Goodlander.
