MANDI BAHAUDDIN - The tussle between the TMA officials and owners of commercial buildings has gone prolonged due to hegemony of the TMO, sources told here. The TMA officials issued notices to 68 owners of newly built or under-construction buildings of the city to deposit Rs100 million at once. Citizen Forum Secretary General Ghulam Murtaza Nasir told mediamen that hegemony of TMO Saleem Warraich has spoiled things as he had refused to accept the TMA approved maps and revenue documents. He said that 50 per cent building already commercial buildings and conversion fee not apply on them. Meanwhile, TMO Saleem Warraich refused to comment. On the other hand, PML-N Information Secretary Abdul Wahid Quraishi alleged TMO of being close to PML-Q ranks and trying to suffer PML-N support in the city. In a press statement, he demanded action against such elements in the TMA, who has their political agenda. The PML-N leader also asked Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif to look into the matter and resolve the issue on merit. Oration competition held: Deputy Director Colleges Prof Mian Mohammad Saleem was the chief guest at an oration competition held here on Thursday. The students of different women colleges participated in the competition.
