SBP issued new currency notes worth Rs 138.76b during Ramazan

ISLAMABAD  - The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and its Banking Services Corporation (SBP BSC) issued fresh currency notes worth Rs 138.76 billion to general public through SBP BSC field offices, designated branches/express centers and commercial banks during the  holy month of Ramazan-ul-Mubarak.
According to a statement of the bank , Rs.10 to Rs.100 denominations  fresh currency notes issued this year were almost double of the last year. The SBP BSC fully utilized the large network of over 10,000 branches of commercial banks for distribution of fresh currency notes to the general public during the holy month of Ramazan-ul-Mubarak.  It may be pointed out that SBP BSC had issued fresh currency notes  worth Rs 114.23 billion for general public during the Holy month of Ramazan-ul-Mubarak last year.
