RAWALPINDI - A woman died while six others sustained severe injured when a motorcycle rickshaw fell into a ravine on late Sunday night, informed Rescue 1122 on Monday.

According to details, the driver of the rickshaw lost control and the vehicle plunged into a deep ditch near Bakery Chowk, leaving all the people including two children critically injured, said a Rescue 1122 official. “The injured include four women, two children and driver of the rickshaw,” he said. On receiving information, Rescue 1122 rushed to the scene and started search operation, shifted the maimed to District Headquarter Hospital (DHQ), where a woman was declared dead by the doctors.

The doctors said that she sustained multiple injuries on her head and body and succumbed to her injuries due to excessive bleeding. However, the condition of other six injured was stable, the doctors added.

The deceased was identified as Razia, 40, while Muhammad Nadeem, Mujtaba, Hammad, Shariz, Sofia, and Zeeshan were injured.
