KHANEWAL - A woman attempted suicide after poisoning her three minor children, including a newborn baby girl, to death. She was referred to Nisthar Hospital Multan in precarious condition.
According to detail, the incident occurred in Chak 14/8R Gulabad near Katcha Khuh, about 30 kilometres from here. Rukhsana Bibi, wife of Abid Hussain insisted on attend Qul Khawani scheduled to be held in Chak 22/10R where her parents were expected to come.
But her husband namely Abid forbade her, advising her that she was not in a position to travel as she had recently given birth to a baby girl last week. 
At which she dejected and in a fit of anger she mixed poisonous pills in the milk and fed all her three children and later drank herself.
Resultantly, they all became unconscious and were rushed to BHU Katcha Khuh where two children three-year-old Rizwana and two-year-old Majid breathed their last while the recently born baby and Rukhsana were referred to DHQ Hospital Khanewal where the baby girl also breathed her last. Later, Rukhsana was referred to Nishtar Hospital Multan where doctors termed her condition as to be precarious. The police have registered FIR and started investigation.
Man robbed of bike outside DSP office: A citizen namely Tariq Javed of Madhrianwala Road was deprived of his bike outside the Office of DSP Saddr Circle situated on busiest Jalalpur Road on Sunday.
 According to Tariq Javed, he parked his bike (HZK-4561) outside the office of the DSP and went inside the office. However, on return he found his bike missing. The police are investigating the incident.
