QUETTA - At least 12 persons were injured in a bomb explosion on Kehkabad Road in the provincial capital Tuesday night.
Police officials said that unknown men planted explosive device near a stationery shop on Kehkabad Road and detonated it. Resultantly, 12 men suffered injuries. "At least 12 persons suffered wounds in the bomb explosion, the police officials added. Rescue teams rushed to the site and shifted the injured to Civil Hospital and Combined Military Hospital.
The law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the entire area to trace the suspects. Further probe was underway.
PM to inaugurate Ziarat Residency on 14th:
Prune Minister Nawaz Sharif will inaugurate Ziarat Residency, now restored to its original shape, on August 14.
Ziarat Residency was restored to its original form on the orders of the prime minister and the Balochistan chief minister at the cost of Rs 15 million.
All the national and provincial leadership will accompany the PM on the occasion of the inauguration ceremony of Ziarat Residency, a national heritage. It may be mentioned that anti-state elements had fired five rockets at Quaid-e-Azam Residency located in Ziarat last year as a result of which residence of Quaid-e-Azam and the precious belongings placed therein were burnt to ashes.
The security guard was also gunned down by the attackers.
