DIBPL, Adamjee Life sign bancatakaful agreement

KARACHI (PR): Dubai Islamic Bank Pakistan Limited (DIBPL) and Adamjee Life Assurance Company Limited (AL) have entered into a corporate Bancatakaful agreement enabling a landmark distribution alliance.

DIBPL is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dubai Islamic Bank UAE, world’s first Islamic Bank. AL is one of the leading Window Takaful operators in Pakistan.

The signing ceremony was held at a hotel in Karachi in the presence of senior officials from both organizations including Fredrik De Beer (CEO - AL) and Junaid Ahmed (CEO DIBPL).

CEO DIBPL said, “The Bank is focused on providing unique, innovative financial solutions and seamless service to customers and this partnership is another step in that direction. The success of this association would depend on how well both the organizations can collaborate to provide the customers superior service and need based products. MIU holds orientation, counseling session

SIALKOT (PR): Metropolitan International University College (MIUC), a flagship project of Roots International Schools (RIS), held an orientation and counseling session in Sialkot campus to brief students, parents and community about Undergrad program offered by MIUC including University of London programs.

The purpose of the session was to create awareness among the students about the disciplines offered in MIUC including University of London programs, B.Sc, ACCA, MSc Accountancy, LLB, IFP and Chess & HND (BTECH).

Walid Mushtaq, CEO RIS & Rector MIUC, encouraged students to develop skills with the changing times to take advantage of the opportunities given to them.

Iranians meet TDAP chief

KARACHI (PR): An official delegation from Consulate General of Iran, Karachi under leadership of Doctor Mehdi Sobhani, Consul General, Murad Nemati, Commercial Consular, and Soltani, Economic Consular, has met with TDAP Chief Executive at TDAP office. TDAP CE informed that TDAP will organise single country exhibition in Iran in March 2017. He further informed that government has already started working on opening of banking channels.

Murree Brewery activities on 14th Aug

LAHORE (PR): MNA Isphanyar Bhandara, while addressing a rally at Murree Brewery, said that the workers of Murree Brewery are working enthusiastically for the festivities planned for 14th August.

He informed that on 14th August, national flags will be placed on Murree Brewery building and it will be profusely decorated to celebrate the spirit of Independence Day.

Coca-Cola, Reon Energy set up solar power project

LAHORE (PR): Reon Energy Limited recently began work at the site of The Coca Cola Export Corporation (TCCEC) for the installation of a 65.340 kWp solar power plant. The on-grid solar plant guarantees a minimum annual production of 86MWh, whilst reducing annual carbon emissions by more than 50 tonnes and producing numerous in savings.

“It is a noteworthy initiative taken by the management of TCCEC. Coca-Cola factory through this on-grid system shall maintain uninterrupted factory operations. The company has set a precedent for many other large -scale businesses to follow,” said Inam ur Rahman, CEO, Reon Energy Limited.

PPL Balochistan Football Cup

QUETTA (PR): The final of PPL Balochistan Football Cup 2016 sponsored by Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) was played between Quetta and Qilla Abdullah (Chaman) on August 12 at the Ayub Football Stadium, Quetta. Team Quetta emerged as the winner of the tournament.

PPL’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Syed Wamiq Bokhari thanked the local community for their participation, despite the recent tragic event in Quetta, adding that “we plan to make PPL Balochistan Football Cup an annual event.” PPL and Balochistan have a long association built over more than 60 years with the discovery of Sui Gas Field in 1952.
