Multan: A man has allegedly gunned down his wife and three other members of his in-laws, over a family dispute in Multan.

Police said that Tahir Mehmood had not been in good terms with his wife, who had been living with her parents for the last many days. According to the police, Mehmood went to his in-laws to persuade his wife to go with him. Mehmood, however, failed to convince his in-laws to send his wife with him. All of a sudden, he whipped out a pistol and open fire, killing his wife, father and mother-in-laws and another member of the family, on the spot.

The police shifted the bodies to the Civil Hospital Multan for medico-legal formalities. The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained immediately. The suspect fled the scene. The police have registered a case and started investigation.
