Youth urged to work for homeland

LAHORE - Pakistan Movement workers said that Pakistan is a divine gift. The Muslims of the sub-continent achieved it through immortal acts of sacrifice under the Quaid-i-Azam’s leadership.

The new generation must inculcate deep love for their homeland and be ready to sacrifice everything in order to protect it.

The gold-medalist Pakistan Movement Workers Prof Dr MA Sufi, Ch Zafar Ullah Khan and Anwer Qadri expressed these views in a series of lectures on the topic “Mein ne Pakistan banty dekha” as part of the celebrations being conducted in connection with the “Independence Day” at the Aiwan-Karkunan-i-Tehreek-i-Pakistan under the auspices of the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust in collaboration with the Pakistan Movement Workers Trust.

Prof Dr MA Sufi observed that the two-nation theory means that the Muslims and the Hindus are two entirely different nations in every respect. He urged the new generation to follow the Quaid-i-Azam’s adage of “work, work, and work.”

Ch Zafar Ullah Khan said that the Quaid-i-Azam attached great importance to punctuality and discipline” in order to register progress. Anwar Hussain Qadri observed that the Quaid-i-Azam was a great iconoclast who broke the nefarious images of provincialism, lingual bias, and caste.

The speakers also narrated several incidents related to the election campaign of the Muslim League candidates during the 1945-46 elections.

A special sitting on the topic “The Women’s Role in the Pakistan Movement” is going to be held on Saturday, as part of the “Independence Day”.

The sitting will be chaired by the Pakistan Movement worker Begum KH Surayya Khursheed.
