Hina sinks Balochistan in Womens Hockey

LAHORE Hina Kinwal with her superb performance (nine goals) guided Railways to 15-0 victory over Balochistan in the 27th National Womens Hockey Championship here at National Hockey Stadium on Monday. Railways netted eight goals in the first half and added seven more goals in the second half. Railways players did not allow Balochistan women to score even a single goal. Hina Kanwal slammed nine goals while Maria Sabir smashed four goals and Aqsa Mumtaz and Asma Ashraf added one goal each. In the second match, Sindh Whites beat Sindh Colours by 2-1. Zaib-un-Nisa and Madiha hit one goal each for winners while consolation goal came from Sidra Ashi for the losers. In the third match, Wapda outpaced Punjab Colours by 5-0. Wapda scored four goals in first half and added one more goal to make scoreline 5-0. Uzma Lal netted two goals while Ayesha Bashir, Azra Nasir and Neelma Hussain added one goal each for the winners. In the fourth match, Army crushed Punjab Whites by 12-0. Sahil Malik netted four goals while Shamshad (3), Tasneem (2), Shakeela (1) Ayesha (1) and Rashida (1) were the other scorers. In the last match of the day, Sehrish Ghuman helped HEC 5-0 triumph over Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Sehrish Ghuman smashed two goals for the winners while Ambreen, Mahreena and Rashida added one goal each. MPA Mrs Uzma Bukhari was the chief guest during the third match of the day while President Punjab Womens Wing (PPP) Begum Neelam Hussain graced the last match of the day as a chief guest.
