LAHORE - The 15th anniversary of ‘The Rising Angels’- an institute for special children was held at Govt College of Home Economics, Gulberg Lahore under Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) Department.
President Home Economics Association Begum Shahida Naeem graced the occasion as the chief guest. Children presented tableaus. They also recited verses from the Holy Quran and translation. They sang poems and national songs and won applause from the audience. In order to entertain the children puppet show and magic show were also presented.
The objective of this institute is to convert the special children into active citizens. The “Rising Angels” started in 1998 in a small room but now as a result of untiring efforts of the teachers including Attiya Inam, the Institute is proud to have a block of well-furnished classrooms, a proper play area, sensory and occupational therapy room and special therapy room.
