ISLAMABAD - Minister of State for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Pir Aminul Hasnat Shah has said that sectarianism can be eliminated by following the teachings of Sufis religious scholars like Hazrat Ghous Bahauddin Zakaria Multani.

He expressed these view while addressing the national conference on ‘Historic and spiritual role Hazrat Bahauddin Zakria’ held under the aegis of Archaeological & Historical Association of Pakistan at Preston University, Islamabad on Thursday. Hasnat said innocent people were being killed in mosques and other worship places in the country and resultantly, the young generation was getting fed up with the religion.

The state minister said that Hazrat Bahauddin Zakaria Multani constructed the mosque and madressah along with the wall of one of the largest Mandir in Asia known as “Haladpuri Mandir” but it was his façade of high moral character that none of the Brahmin priests raised any objection to its construction.
