LAHORE - The second branch of Ali Hajveri Free Drug Bank has been inaugurated at Lahore General Hospital.

Special Assistant to CM Punjab Khawaja Ahmed Hassan inaugurated the drug bank yesterday.

The function was attended by Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute Prof Khalid Mahmood, former DG Health Dr Zahid Pervez, Ali Hajveri Free Drug Bank pioneer Dr Zaheerul Islam Mir, LGH MS Dr Niaz Ahmed and others.

Addressing the participants, Ahmed Hassan said that health and education were the priorities of Punjab government and special emphasis was being focused on imparting modern medical education, especially in teaching hospitals.

In his address, Prof Khalid Mahmood said that medical facilities were being provided in accordance with the health vision of Chief Minister Punjab. However, he stressed upon the philanthropists to come forward and play their role to help the ailing humanity. Dr Zaheer ul Islam and Dr Niaz Ahmed also addressed the participants of the event.
