KARACHI - PPP leader Shehla Raza Saturday said the federal government, not the Sindh government, is making the issue of extension to Rangers powers controversial, reported a private TV channel.

The deputy speaker in Sindh Assembly urged Islamabad to present video evidence against Dr Asim Hussain and the PPP leadership instead of hurling threats.

“Don’t try to scare us and show the video…If the federal government has evidence it should also share it with us.”

Raza went on to say that the issue of extending Rangers’ special powers must be resolved in the Sindh Assembly if there were reservations prevailing over it. “You never know…Rangers might get even more rights than before,” she remarked.
