ISLAMABAD: Pakistan will be hosting the Fifth Blind Cricket One Day Cup scheduled to be held in January 2018 and Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) Chairman Syed Sultan Shah has flown to Dubai to hold talks for the arrangements of the mega event.
Sultan flew to Dubai on December 12 and in his one-week visit, he will be holding meetings with Emirates Cricket Board, International Cricket Council (ICC) officials and with hotel managements.
Talking to media, Sultan prior to his visit to Dubai said that Australia and England cannot tour Pakistan therefore the Blind Cricket One Day Cup is being conducted in Dubai. He said we will try our level best to host the semi finals and final of the tournament in Pakistan.
Speaking about Pakistan’s participation in the World Blind T20 scheduled to be held in India in January next year, he said Pakistan’s participation in the World Blind T20 will depend on the permission from our government but we have applied for the NOC.
The teams participating in the tournament include Pakistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Nepal, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka and West Indies. The semi finals of the tournament will be played February 11, 2017 while the final will be on February 12, 2017.
