KARACHI - Sindh Minister for Education and Literacy Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar Tuesday said that the issues of the teachers training institutions will be addressed and it is under consideration that these institutions may be outsourced to enhance teaching qualities in Sindh.

This he said while presiding over 11th meeting of Board of Governors of Sindh Teacher Education Development Authority (STEDA) here at a hotel on Tuesday, a statement said.

He asked the officers concerned to increase enrollment at these institutions. It was decided in the meeting that financial assistance should be provided to the candidates desirous of teacher training and number of guide teachers would be increased and they would be assigned to train teachers in cluster hub schools.

Jam Mehtab asked the participants to adopt modern rules to hire market based staff for the purpose.

Government Universities should send recommendations of their students for endowment fund scholarship and STEDA should be made more effective, he added.

Secretary Education Schools Iqbal Hussain Durrani, Executive Director STEDA Abdul Majeed Bhurt, Director BOCEW Sindh Mushtaque Ahmed Shahani, DG PITE Qamar Shahid Siddiqui and Chairman BISE Hyderabad Dr Muhammad Memon also attended the meeting.
