A diplomatic reception was held in the cultural capital of Pakistan on the occasion of the 30th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Chief Guest of the event from the province of Punjab was Senator, member of the international affairs group, Dr. Zarqa Suharwardi Taimur. 


Senator Ejaz Chaudhry, Minister of Irrigation of Punjab Mr. Muhammad Mohsin Leghari, representatives of business and public circles of Lahore also attended the reception.


Ambassador of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Kistafin in his speech informed about the main achievements of the country during Independence years under the leadership of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev and about the ongoing political reforms of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.


On the same day, the Head of the Kazakhstan diplomatic mission held meetings with All Pakistan Business Forum and Pakistan  Pharmaceutical Manufacturers’ Association.

As a result of these meetings, an agreement was reached to launch Kazakhstan-Pakistan Trade and Economic Window, an online platform in the near future in order to exchange current important information for establishing direct business contacts. 


The Ambassador expressed special gratitude to Mr. Ahmed Rafi for his assistance in organizing and conducting the reception.
