KARACHI (PPI) - Sindh home minister Dr. Zulfiqar Ali Mirza has ordered strict security measures for the 'Chup Tazia processions and congregations of 8th Rabi-ul-Awal and processions of Eid Milad-u-Nabi on 12th Rabi-ul-Awal in the province. While instructing the Police, Rangers, Law enforcing and intelligence agencies, who would be ensuring security measures in all Imam Bargahs, Mosques and the routes of processions, he said that an extensive security plan should be made and implemented with mutual cooperation. He added that a meeting should be held on immediate basis so that the security plan can be finalized. He instructed IG Sindh Sultan Salahuddin Babar Khattak that contingency plans should be made on town and district levels according to which all police stations would be made responsible for snap checking on daily basis in all Mosques, Imam-Barghs and other sensitive areas. The reports of these security activities should also be sent in order to ensure security of public. He further instructed that the designed plan should also include binding all the police stations to have effective detective activities in the concerned areas, strict checking as well as deployment of police officials in plain clothes. Similarly, duty-wise list of police officials in all towns and districts should be sent to Central Police Office daily. Sindh home minister directed that keeping in view the current terrorist activities, all the SHOs would be bound to make sure that the processions cross their respective areas safely and ensure the protection of citizens. In addition, security officials would not leave their position in any case and the duty officials would be bound to check the deployment from time to time. He added that extra ordinary security should be highlighted at every level in the plan along with provision of all the facilities to peaceful and law abiding citizens. He said that police should fulfil its duties in accordance with the rules and regulations and within the powers given to them, otherwise in case of any compliant action would be taken against them.
