LAHORE At least four people died in road accidents in different police precincts here on Saturday. As per details, a 45-year-old motorcyclist Rizwan Ahmed, father of four, was hit by an unknown car near Gurumangat Road, Ghalib Market, resultantly he suffered severe injuries. The accused driver managed to escape while the locals gathered on the spot and shifted him to a nearby hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead. Meanwhile, a 25-year-old factory worker Sajid, was hit by a speeding vehicle at Rehmanpura in Wahdat Colony three days back, also breathed his last in hospital on Saturday. In another incident, two persons were killed in a road accident near Ameer Chowk in Green Town at about 3pm. The deceased were later identified as 17-year-old Babar and 20-year-old Amir. The deceased were crushed by a speeding vehicle. The Edhi ambulances, however, reached the spot and shifted the injured to Jinnah Hospital where they breathed their last. The accused drivers in all the aforementioned accidents managed to flee from the crime scenes. Police have registered different cases against unidentified accused with no arrest till filing of this report. The dead bodies were later handed over to their heirs after completing medico-legal formalities. Further investigations were underway.
