In occupied Kashmir, the arrest of a student triggered anti-India protest in Baramulla town. According to KMS, Indian police personnel carried out a raid at Kakkar Hamam in the main town and arrested a student identified as Ubaid Ahmad for his role in anti-India protests during the last year. Soon after the arrest of the student, scores of youth took to streets at main Chowk and Cement Bridge and clashed with the personnel of Central Reserve Police Force and Special Operations Group. The forces used brute force and fired teargas shells to disperse the protesters injuring two of them.
