Exhibition of paintings of 9 renowned artists starts

LAHORE A group drawing show Lines That Talk was kicked off at the Revivers Galleria, Gulberg here on Saturday. Drawing exhibition, which also marked second anniversary of the gallery, is scheduled to continue till February 28. On the occasion, chief guest PML-N MNA Mian Naseer Ahmad Bhutta inaugurated the exhibition. Participating artists including Jimmy Engineer and Iqbal Hussain, former LCCI president Mian Anjum Nisar, curator of the gallery Sara Anjum and other guests were also present. In the group show, the art work of nine renowned artists were put on display. The show have the 75 drawings of the artists including prominent Pakistani artist of international repute Jimmy Engineer, Iqbal Hussain, Saeed Akhtar, Mansoor Rahi, Hajra Mansoor, Raja Changez Sultan, Chitra Pretam, Abrar Ahmed and Baber Azeemi. Drawings of so many renowned artists have been displayed exclusively in this manner perhaps for the first time in the cultural capital of the country thus giving a good treat to the art lovers and collectors from different walks of life. Owner and curator of the Revivers Galleria, Sara Anjum said she was happy that the gallery had completed two years of its existence in a very successful manner and the occasion was being marked with the holding of the major drawing show titled Lines That Talk. She expressed hope that the art lovers and collectors will duly appreciate the drawings.
