Hina briefs Zardari

ISLAMABAD - Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Hina Rabbani Khar, Saturday visited the ministry and assumed her office. Secretary Salman Bashir and other senior officials received her. Bashir accompanied the minister to her office and briefed her about the ministry of foreign affairs and its various functions. Officers to the rank of additional secretaries also called on her. Speaking on the occasion the minister assured her all-out cooperation to the staff of the ministry in their well being, and for the success of Pakistans foreign policy. Later, the minister and secretary also met with President Asif Ali Zardari and briefed him about the diplomatic standoff between the US and Pakistan over the issue of Raymond Davis and its impact on the Pak-US bilateral relations.
