LAHORE Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharifs Senior Advisor Sardar Zulifqar Ali Khan Khosa on Saturday said that all resources should be utilised for the security of Eid Miladun Nabis (SAW) processions and mahafil. He said that the committees comprising Ulema, Civil Society, Traders Anjuman and Assembly Members should be activated for celebrating the sacred functions with religious fervor and vigilant eye should be kept on the persons distributing hatred literature. He expressed these views while addressing the meeting of Cabinet Committee held for monitoring the security matters in connection with Milad in the province. Provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan, CMs Advisor Jahanzaib Barki, Lahore Commissioner Nadeem Hassan Asif, Secretary Home Shahid Khan, Shuja Khanzada MPA, Additional Secretary Information Tahir Raza Hamdani and Additional I G Police (Operation) also attended the meeting. The meeting was given a briefing by the security agencies with regard to steps taken for maintaining law & order. Senior Advisor to Chief Minister said it is a good omen that the administrators of Milad functions have also provided services of volunteers to the police. He said that 45 thousand police officials and national volunteers will perform security duties in connection with Milad and 1,812 female and 8,713 male volunteers will also take part in security arrangements. He said that like Muharramul Haram, complete monitoring of Eid Milad processions will be made. He said that checking of routes of processions will also be made through sniffer dogs. He said that security officials in plain cloths will also be deputed on the routes of processions and sites of mahafil and these will also be watched through close circuit cameras. In addition, security officials will also be deputed on roof tops on the routes of processions.
