The Managing Director PIA and Secretary Defence are directly responsible for the current PIA impasse. Where the former violated rules and regulations by secretly entering into an agreement with Turkish Airlines regarding the sale of profitable European and North American routes and the termination of services of seasoned pilots, the prolonged criminal silence on this issue of the latter has exposed his professional dishonesty and incapacity of his person to hold the said office. The concerned authorities should hereby initiate disciplinary proceedings against the two incumbents and their names should be placed on ECL forthwith lest the Airline, which is a prized possession of 180 million people of this country, becomes history.
