Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Sunday called on President Asif Ali Zardari in Awan-e-Sadar and discussed with him the overall political situation, report said. Though, President House says the two leaders discussed current political scenario and national issues, and that Prime Minister exchanged views with over his upcoming visit to Japan. However, sources said that in the meeting the two high-ups also discussed alienated ministers after they were excluded from the new trimmed cabinet. They said the PM took up with the President the issue of statements against former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi who was stripped of his portfolio as in the reshuffling of the cabinet over his reservations on Raymond Davis affair. The PM reportedly expressed his displeasure over statements against former FM and requested the president to stop this practice to maintain discipline within the party.
