Better facilities must for higher literacy rate



HAVELI LAKHA- The literacy rate cannot be improved until we provide better facilities to the students and overhaul the education dispensation.
The Punjab chief minister is taking keen interest in the development of education sector, said PML-N MPA Moeen Ahmad Wattoo here on Sunday.
The MPA was addressing students and parents at a scholarship award ceremony here at Government Degree College for Boys the other day.
Moeen Wattoo distributed cheques worth Rs4,500 each to 50 deserving students and assured them that he would make strenuous efforts to provide necessary facilities to the college.
College Principal Rana Tariq Aziz Nasir told the participants that the students of the institution had not only maintained a good educational record, but had also shown their talent in sports and other extracurricular activities.
