ISLAMABAD - A time-oriented development approach is required to make Islamabad one of the beautiful metropolitans of the world with a clear future vision.  The concrete and concentrated efforts of the workers and officers of CDA have made the city a precedence of exemplary development, however, a lot is yet to be done to bring it at par with the modern capitals of the world.  This was stated by the Chairman Prime Minister’s Task Force on the CDA, Faisal Sakhi Butt, while addressing the colourful Family Gala of the CDA officers organized by the CDA Officers Welfare Association (COWA) here at Fatima Jinnah (F-9) Park on Sunday.

He appreciated the strategy adopted by CDA Chairman Engineer Farkhand Iqbal to expedite the development activities in the city and improve the working of the civic agency to facilitate the residents of the Federal Capital. Butt said that the PM’s Task Force on CDA would extend all-out support to the Authority’s Chairman for his endeavours and initiatives.

The CDA Chairman, on the occasion, said that an aggressive development approach for productive activities to come up to the expectations of the government would be adopted.

He said that CDA would chalk out a strategy to resolve the outstanding issues especially development of the stalled sectors provision of civic amenities and execution of the public oriented projects.

The marathon one-day event was thrilled with colourful activities including tug of war, luddi, DJ, police band, food court (national & international cuisine) musical chairs, kite flying, magic show, cricket, horse dancing, rubab, badminton, signing competition and folk dances.

All the officers including CDA Chairman participated in the different activities. The event is the first ever of its kind in the history of CDA characterized by different stalls, shops, food court, game shows, play rides and other festivities designed in a unique manner, which were enjoyed by the families and children.

In a lucky draw, Ramzan Sajid, Deputy Director (Public Relations & Protocol), won the ticket of Umrah.
