QUETTA - At least nine people, including two real brothers and a child were killed and two others wounded, in two separate road mishaps on Quetta-Chaman Highway and Jaffarabad on Sunday.

In the first incident, Levies Force sources said a Quetta bound private car coming from Chaman with six persons on board collided with a mud laden dumper coming from opposite side near Garang area on Quetta-Chaman Highway.

As a result, the dumper fell over the car and six people including a child riding in the car were killed instantly while driver and cleaner of the dumper sustained injuries in the mishap.

‘Lifter was called into retrieve the bodies and remove the dumper’, Levies sources said, adding, that the incident occurred due to rain and snowfall in the area.

The Levies Personnel moved the dead and injured to hospital in Chaman and started investigations into the incident.

In another incident, three people, including two real brothers were killed when a car hit a motorcycle in Chattan Pati area of Jaffarabad.

Police said that Arshad alongwith his brother Shamshad was on his way in Chattan Pati area when motorbike was hit by a car coming from the opposite direction. Resultantly, three people including two real brothers succumbed to their injuries.

The bodies were shifted to a nearby hospital for autopsy and later they were handed over to heirs after completing legal formalities.

The third deceased was identified as Allah Dina.
