PTI, JI gaining strength in Malakand

MALAKAND - As 2012 is considered to be the year of elections, the political scenario is getting changed fast in Malakand and PTI and JI are gaining popularity, while PPP is loosing public support.
Malakand Agency is considered to be the region of PPP supporters, as at present all the three members from Malakand belong to the ruling PPP. MNA Lal Mohammad Khan was included in premier Gilani first cabinet as federal minister for special initiatives, while MPA from KP-99 Malakand Engr Mohammad Hamayun Khan has the portfolio of provincial finance minister and MPA Syed Mohammad Ali Shah Bacha is working as chairman DDAC, Malakand. But, the masses of Malakand are not satisfied with the performance of their elected members and the benefits of this are going to JI and PTI.  A number of political figures form different parties have so far joined PTI and JI in Malakand.
Those who joined JI include former candidate for NA-35 Malakand form PTI Haji Nowsharwan, Ex candidate K.P98 PPP (S) Raziq Jan Advocate, former PPP Nazim Batkhela Amjad Ali Shah. While Ex MNA and district president PML(Q)  Haji Mohammad Khan, former PPP MPA  Ghani Mohammad Khan, Ex District Naib Nazim from PPP Shakeel Khan, PPP Batkhela city president Malik Sardaraz Khan  has joined PTI in Malakand.
JI has declared Syed Bakhtar Mani Ex MNA from NA-35 Malakand as their candidate for up coming general election. He is the strongest contestant on this seat. PPP is looking to introduce a powerful candidate against him.
On KP-99 former senior minister Shah Raz Khan is J.I candidate.  On this seat close contest is expecting between PTI, PPP and JI. While on KP-98 actual political battle is expected among PPP MPA Syed Mohammad Ali Shah Bacha and JI nominees Syed Jamal-ud-Din but Mohammad Ali Shah Bacha is the most favorite because he has win this seat twice and after the death of his political rival Naik Amal Khan of ANP Bacha is in a position to win this seat for the third time easily.
JI is going to show its political power on 23rd February at Zafar Park Batkhela. A huge public gathering ‘Jalsa-e-Inqalab’ will be addressed by Ameer JI Syed Munawar Hassan, former ameer Qazi Hussain Ahmad, Naib Ameer Sarij-ul-Haq and JI, KP, Ameer Prof Ibrahim. PTI will also show is strength in Swat and Malakand under the leadership of its Chairman Imran Khan soon.
Though MNA Lal Mohammad Khan and provincial Finance Minister Engr Mohammad Hamayun Khan belong to PPP, but both are going on the opposite direction and as a result it is difficult for PPP to keep its political position intact in the coming election in Malakand.
