PU to organise country’s largest book fair

The Punjab University administration will organise Pakistan’s largest book fair in the month of March, where renowned publishers, booksellers and information technology organizations will establish their stalls for three days. PU’s Chief Librarian Chaudhry Muhammad Hanif said that the book fair will be open to students and general public to buy the various products on highly discounted rates.
He added that PU will utilise all available resources to make the book fair a success. He further said that the event was being organised to promote book-reading among the masses, in this age of computers and information technology.  The librarian told this paper that last year a record 75 thousands books were sold at the PU book fair which proved that people still have the love for books. He hoped that this year, people would purchase more books from the fair.
